Cafeteria

Hot lunches are served daily in the school cafeteria through Twelve Oaks Catering Company. Lunch menus are sent home monthly. Parents are asked to order $3.25 lunches on a weekly basis. Lunches may also be purchased daily: $2.50 for grades PK through 2, and $2.75 for grades 3 through 8. Students who qualify for the USDA program may be eligible for free or reduced priced lunches. Application forms are sent to all school families and letters of notification are sent to the family regarding their eligibility. Students may also bring their lunches from home. For your child’s safety, do not send any glass containers or carbonated sodas. Lunches brought in from fast food restaurants are not allowed with the exception of Student Appreciation Day during Catholic Schools Week. Soft drinks may not be brought to school or purchased from the vending machines during school hours. Please note that we are unable to warm, cook, or refrigerate lunch items brought from home.

Specials Information

At St. Mary of Carmel, we strive to educate the whole child and thus believe that specials are an important part of a child’s development. We try to offer a variety of specials in order to expose students to as many disciplines as possible. You never know what may cause a spark of interest with a child! All students in PreK-2nd grade go to Art and PE every day. Students in 3rd-8th grade have four specials that they rotate through, attending two of the four each day. Those specials are Art, PE, Technology and Spanish. We also have a weekly ‘elective’ time for 45 minutes for our 6th-8th grade students to expose them to other disciplines. These electives include Choir, Newspaper, Speech, Art and more!
