With great honor and enthusiasm, I extend my warmest greetings to each member of our esteemed school family. As the newly appointed principal of Saint Mary of Carmel, I am deeply humbled to join this community of faith, academics, and service.
Our school stands as a beacon of light in the journey of education, guided by the principles of Catholic faith and the pursuit of academic excellence. Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, we are committed to fostering an environment where students can grow intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally.
In the words of St. Teresa of Avila, “God has no hands but yours.” This profound statement summarizes the essence of our mission here at SMC. Each community member is called to be an instrument of God’s love and compassion, using our talents and abilities to make a positive difference in society.
Learn MoreWelcome! I am thrilled to be returning to St. Mary of Carmel in August for my 6th year as our 6th-8th grade math teacher and my 2nd year as Assistant Principal. I am originally from North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in Psychology and Education Policy. I later went on to earn my M.Ed. from the University of Notre Dame. At St. Mary of Carmel, my goal as an educator is to love and to teach the whole child – body, mind, and soul. To me, this means making each student feel known and seen, tracking and celebrating student growth and progress, and learning from our mistakes together as we journey toward sainthood and scholarship. In the spirit of St. Thérèse de Lisieux, one of our core beliefs here at SMC is that “we do small things with great love.”

Hello SMC community,
I grew up in the Pleasant Grove area, and moved around the US due to my dad’s job from 5th grade to 10th grade, but we made it back to Dallas in the summer of 2010. I received my Bachelor of Art’s degree in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Dallas in Irving, TX and I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. During my Master’s program training, I fell in love with working with children of all ages, especially when they are struggling.
